This is predominately solo finger style guitar. In the middle we get a few wonderful tracks on electric guitar that are in a vaguely Methany-esque style using overdubbing and some very low key synth. Ms. Noguera is a talented guitarist; give a listen.
“Myriad Worlds is a collection of guitar dreamscapes, tales, and adventures, which are inspired by life, science, nature, as well as imaginative worlds and characters. Some of the main themes in my music during the past years come from a place of deep compassion, hope, self-love, healing, and wonder. While some of these compositions were painstakingly worked out with specific musical and/or technical concepts in mind, some of them flowed as gifts from the universe, to merely serve me get through my emotions during uncertain times. The process of creating is a magical and mysterious practice that I’m eternally grateful for experiencing. It’s safe to say that some of this music healed me. And that, I believe to be the purpose of this record, to serve others too, in any uplifting way possible.”
The album features original solo, duo, quartet, and quintet pieces, played on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, and harp guitar, all instruments and performances by Janet. With musical inspiration from a wide variety of genres. Some tracks feature nature soundscapes, as well as beautiful dreamy synths. Ultimately, the soundscapes accomplished on this record, with a juxtaposition of sounds have all combined to create this journey of magical realism.
